I can't compete with some of these stories, but I'll tell you about one of my favorite presents from Santa, even though I almost missed it under the tree.

I was an only child, so Santa never wrapped my gifts. Everything under the tree on Christmas morning was for me. One Christmas when I was about 10 (yes, I still had Santa even at that advanced age), I was going through my presents when my mom asked me what was in this plain cardboard box between the tree and the couch.

"I don't know. Something of yours."
"It's not mine," she insisted. "It wasn't there last night."

I looked in the box.

"It's some machine or something."
"Maybe you better look closer. I think Santa left it for you."

Certain this was not anything I would want, I pulled out the small machine and found an instruction book.

"A rock polisher!"

Which is something I had actually really wanted, I just didn't know what it looked like.

I had a lot of fun with that rock polisher, and I still have one of the necklaces I made from one of my polished rocks.

Wow, I have an acoustic/electric Takamine similar to yours (http://cakeblast.com/comedy/i-wanna-rock-like-twisted-sister-in-the-1980s/).

The best present I ever received was a box of assorted Godiva chocolates. It wasn't the fact that they were so expensive, but it was the first and only time that I've had a lemon-cream covered chocolate that tasted good. Lemon and chocolate are two of my favorite flavors, but they do not usually mix well. It was also the first time I ever had Godiva, and I still love their chocolate.
